Built by an operator, not a consultant.
Vigil is a forensic operational audit for trucking fleets. One call. One report. Every leak quantified.
Why this exists
We grew up in this industry. Our families run fleets. The same problem shows up in every yard we've sat in: hours and dollars walking out the door because of small workflow leaks no one ever stops to write down. The dispatcher spending eight hours a week reconciling fuel receipts. The IFTA filing that takes three days because the mileage data lives in five places. The driver onboarding that costs $1,800 instead of $400 because nobody timed it.
Operators know these leaks exist. They feel them. They just don't have the time to map them, quantify them, and figure out which ones to fix first. That's the gap Vigil closes.
Five principles
We never recommend a tool we haven't read the docs for.
Trucking software is full of vendors making promises they can't keep. If a tool shows up in your report, we've used it or read every line of its setup documentation. No vague recommendations.
Every claim is traceable to your transcript.
If we say you're losing $11,648/year on fuel reconciliation, we can show you the line in your interview where you described the workflow that costs that much. No fabricated findings, ever.
We don't sell what we audit.
The audit recommends specific tools. We don't sell those tools. We don't take affiliate kickbacks. If the right answer for your fleet is to pick the cheaper option or do it yourself, that's what the report will say.
The audit stands on its own.
You get the report. You implement it however you want — with your team, with a vendor, with us. We don't bundle implementation into the audit price. We don't push a retainer. The fixed fee buys you a fixed deliverable.
We sound like the industry, not Silicon Valley.
You'll never hear "leverage," "synergy," "streamline," or "optimize" in a Vigil report. We use your vocabulary — bobtail, deadhead, detention, IFTA, ELD, HOS, MVR — without explaining them. If you wanted a McKinsey deck, you'd hire McKinsey.
